Expanded Career Development Tools Deliver Bottom-Line Benefits

Building employee engagement—the feeling among employees that they’re in the right job, in the right company, making the right kinds of contributions—can pay big dividends. The world-renowned Gallup Organization reports that workgroups exhibiting the highest levels of employee engagement are more likely to have above-average productivity (50%), retention (44%), and profitability (33%).

Boosting employee engagement and delivering the bottom-line benefits of productivity, retention and profitability are what LifeCare’s newly expanded career development services are all about. These services have been designed specifically for employees wanting to better manage and advance their careers within their current company—critical factors in employee engagement.

“Whether employees are looking to fine-tune performance skills, better manage their time, or begin planning a long-term career path, we’ll provide them with the tools and resources they need to achieve their goals,” says Cecilia Waldron, LifeCare’s Service Delivery Manager and guiding force behind the expanded offerings.

LifeCare's career development tools and resources now include:

An expanded database of providers that enables us to refer employees to a wide variety of skills development courses, personal coaches, and other resources;

A variety of articles and educational materials on topics related to professional development (including effective communication, sharpening speaking and presentation skills; dealing with workplace change and transition; conflict resolution; etc.);

Referrals to career-assessment tests and self-analysis questionnaires;

A “Work” community on the LifeCare web site devoted exclusively to helping employees manage their day-to-day and long-range career challenges.

Seminars that cover a wide range of skills such as time management and organizational skills, managing meetings, coaching for peak performance, managing work and life while working nontraditional hours (contact your account manager for seminar pricing).

What’s more, employees with access to our online Resource Center can receive printable educational materials that are targeted to their career development needs within minutes of their requests. Hard copy materials can also be sent by mail, if preferred.
